Guardians Tower:

There is only one Guardians Tower in existence. It is an ancient structure in which all known guilds are housed. Its towers majestically ascend far into the heavens, and is constructed of the finest and strongest of materials. Great blocks and columns, fortified with huge chains and massive battlements, complimented by a single massive drawbridge, ensures the power and safety of this sanctuary.

Beneath the many towers and battlements of this ancient stronghold spans a great, seemingly endless, labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, ancient secrets and a host of other sites and realms, some of which appear as a separate world with suns, moons and stars of their own. None have ever fully explored the Guardians Labyrinth, nor is there record of its creation. This place is one of the mysteries of Utaemia, claimed by ancient Guardians long ago, before the histories were written. The Guardians Labyrinth is used to this day for many purposes, only one of which is to test would be Guardians.

The Guardian
The Guardian is a specialized character, devoted to the protection or that which he or she is hired out to protect. This path is not without religious devotion, yet it is practical and strict. Honor and an unbiased view of all races and all beliefs will always be the way of the Guardian.

Guardian Trials
One can become a Guardian only if the Guardian Trials have been passed within the confines of the Guardians Tower. The Guardians Trials consists of three tests, given to only those who are a minimum of 10th level. If any three of these trials are failed, they cannot be attempted again for a minimum of one year.

One will have three chances to succeed, but if failure occurs on the third attempt, the Guardian Trials may never be taken again. If one trial is successful, the trainee will not have to take that trial over again.

A Guardian must be balanced in many ways, and so are often tested according to their weaknesses. This is not to fail that person, but bring to light his or her weakness. If these weaknesses are made known to the trainee, and the trainee humbles him or herself, he or she can be made strong with patience and hard work.

These Trials can be mental, spiritual, physical, social, written, etc. They are not meant to discourage, but to sift out those who are not worthy to stand as a trusted shield for something or someone.

If the trials are failed, the trainee will not be shunned. He or she will be offered the chance to be taken under the wing of a designated Guardian and tutored for one year. It is up to the trainee whether to accept or reject this generous offer.
